In 2011, when Krav Maga was still relatively unheard of on this side of the world, Mr.Elroy Vaz brought to light this Israeli system of Self Defense in India. He set up the Institute and became a pioneer of this art of Self Defense.

Through sheer grit, hard work, determination, dedication and sacrifices, he successfully received his Expert Level certification in Krav Maga under the tutelage of Grand Master Eyal Yanilov; and many other certifications in various KMG courses. He considered Grand Master Eyal Yanilov his Krav Maga and Life Guru.

Elroy Vaz’s tenure as the Regional Director of Krav Maga Global India was the biggest testament to his commitment to KMG; travelling length and breadth of the country training and setting up KMG locations in multiple cities such as Goa, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kerala, Pune, Delhi and Chennai to spread the KMG knowledge.  He imparted training to civilian men, women and children from various backgrounds and conducted several Corporate Workshops and training courses for women as well as Law Enforcement agencies.

Expert Elroy Vaz was born and brought up in Mumbai, India in the year 1964. He studied at Sacred Heart Boy’s High School, Mumbai and graduated from the prestigious St.Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He remained committed to both his alma maters by way of alumni works.

“Respect, Strength, Loyalty. Do good, be good.” is what he truly believed in. He leaves behind a legacy of his students and family, who are committed to carry his work forward.
