Krav Maga Global is a practical and tactical system that teaches how to prevent, deal and overcome all kinds of violence and attacks. It is a simple, effective self defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios. Krav Maga has a philosophy emphasizing aggression, and simultaneous defensive and offensive manoeuvres. Self Defence at Krav Maga Global is from natural human response. Out of fear not to get hurt there is a natural response in body movement or limb movement, we use that as the base to execute a defense or release. The Krav Maga philosophy is what separates it from any other martial art. It is not a sport but a simple and effective fighting system designed for self-protection. It is easy to learn and retain, performed naturally and intuitively, and practically be used under stressful conditions. In addition to being a fantastic way to get fit and feel confident; KMG also makes you more aware. Awareness is a huge self defense skill and will help you avoid bad situations altogether.


Different people have different reasons for training Krav Maga, and here at KMG, students come from different backgrounds, experiences, and fitness levels. Our training is accessible, understandable, and meaningful as possible from the start.


The more we train, the more tools we gain! We stress and believe that in order to grow and gain proficiency, it is important to improve your physical power, endurance, co-ordination, and skill, as well as your mental discipline and fighting spirit, with regular training. Our classes help provide this form of training which provides the necessary skills for real life situations which come in various forms. Our goal is to prepare, improvise and quickly adapt to any situations and to be able to perform under stress and fatigue. In short, reaction/ response time is crucial which is why repetition of techniques is of utmost importance that it becomes second nature or it turns into muscle memory. It is our endeavour to push each and every student beyond their comfort zones enabling them to achieve their overall goal be it physical, mental, tactical and technical.

What to Expect In Training with KMG

A regular lesson comprises of preparation (warm ups, stretching, strength exercise, etc), technique training and strength drills. We maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere, where everyone is given an opportunity to learn as long as they are willing to put the time and effort.

 

KMG Curriculum generally covers:

  • How to prevent, avoid, escape and evade situations of conflict.
  • How to fall and roll to reduce injury from impact with the ground.
  • Developing attacking and counter attacking skills.
  • Using everyday objects for self defense and fighting.
  • Techniques to defend against unarmed attacks such as kicks, strikes, throws, chokes, grabs, locks, etc.
  • Techniques to defend against armed threats and attacks with bladed or blunt objects (depending on relevance to local country situation and laws).
  • How to defend yourself on the ground.
  • How to deal with multiple attackers.
  • How to defend other people (also known as third party protection)

 

In addition, students training on a regular basis can expect to improve:

 

  • General physical fitness and co-ordination.
  • Fighting stamina and core strength, to further help your abilities to deal with physical threats and conflicts.
  • Mental strength, ability to focus, decision-making under stress
  • Confidence, discipline, humility, and other aspects of personal development that carry on into everyday life.
